The origin of the Villa
A singular story
The Villa Beauséjour is among the villas built during the Belle Époque, when Erquy, like many Breton villages anchored in sites with exceptional landscapes, saw wealthy summering families settle in for the summer season.
The villa has a unique backstory: a brother and sister wanted to share a house without actually living together. So they had a villa built whose architecture actually consists of two attached twin villas, allowing each to have their own space while still being together!
Occupied by the Germans during the war, the Villa makes an appearance in the famous film Le Blé en herbe, filmed in Erquy in 1949.
It became a hotel more than 80 years ago.
David and Lydiane took over the Villa in 2025 with the aim of continuing the spirit developed over decades, true to the villa’s history: the Hotel like home.
Villa Beauséjour is a charming, simple, authentic hotel that welcomes its visitors in the spirit of a family home, which it has always been.
The Villa has become a hotel but its layout and decoration remain those of a large seaside house, far from chain standards.
All our rooms are different, furnished and decorated in a guest room spirit rather than a hotel room.
The breakfast room offers a beautiful sea view, as does the lounge.
At the back of the house, a terrace welcomes our guests who wish to gather, read, or enjoy a drink quietly.
The Villa offers great tranquility yet is close to everything, especially the major hiking routes. An ideal stop for hikers, whether by bike or on foot, everything is arranged for optimal rest while enjoying the beaches, shops, and restaurants of Erquy.
